NextGen At FirstNSB
Our NextGen Ministry, which includes our Preschool, Children's, and Student Ministry, is designed to not only teach Biblical truth on an age-appropriate level for your kids, but also equip them to go out into their world, live for Jesus and share the Good News of Christ to their classmates, teammates and friends. There are weekly opportunities for NextGen Ministry on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as special events outside those regularly scheduled times. A Note About Your Child's Safety
We take your child's security very seriously. Not only does every volunteer in our NextGen Ministry have to maintain a clear background check to serve, we also implement specific security measures on campus which include child check-in procedures, multiple adults per room and cameras in every classroom.
A Note About Children With Special Needs
We value all children at FirstNSB and believe that everyone needs to be shown the love of Jesus. To that end, we offer an "Abilities" class for children with special needs during our Sunday morning worship gatherings. If you would like your child to attend this wonderful class, inform our volunteers at our Child Check-In station beside the Café.
Preschool & Children
Every Sunday includes a full hour of engagement with your child that is meaningful and developmentally appropriate. In nursery, your child will be cared for and loved by caring volunteers. In pre-school, your child will learn about God through hands-on activities, crafts, Bible stories and songs. We want to partner with you in the early spiritual development of your child. Children’s ministry is provided on Sundays for birth through Kindergarten at 9:00 am and for birth through fifth grade at 10:30 am. Each Sunday includes an engaging environment with singing and teaching from the Bible, followed by small group time with caring leaders and children of similar age. We want children’s ministry to be the best hour of your child’s week! We look forward to welcoming you and your little ones on Sundays at 9:00 or 10:30 am!
On Wednesdays during the school year we offer AWANA for children aged 2 through fifth grade.
Middle School & High School
Hanging on Sunday Morning
Our FirstNSB Students (middle and high schoolers) meet on Sundays for small group. Middle schoolers meet at 9:00am in the meeting room and high schoolers meet at 10:30am in the gym.
Youth Night
FirstNSB Students also meet on Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Students enjoy open gym time, pizza, games, music, and teaching in a large group setting before spending time processing what they learned in small groups. The road through middle and high school may be bumpy but it doesn’t have to be lonely. Student ministry provides a community where students can find accountability, belonging and care to help them on the journey to discover a faith of their own.
